WORKAROUND – Women Design Action is a series of online broadcast and live events exploring the practices and ideas of 14 women who focus on advocacy and activism in their architectural and related practices.

Curated by Kate Rhodes, Fleur Watson (RMIT University) and Naomi Stead (Monash University), WORKAROUND is presented as a series of 14 episodes, each led by one a practitioner. Topics range from the safety of gender-diverse people in cities, led by Simona Castricum, to the idea of ‘collective inquiry’ in delivering education, led by Mary Featherston. The curators will present a 15th episode, exploring curatorial activism. Two of the episodes, ‘The Jane Approach: Onomatopoeia-Play-Day’ and ‘Sensory City’, are happening as part of Open House Melbourne

The episodes run from 25 July – 11 August 2018, and can be attended in person or listened to online in real time. We recommend checking the website to find something that appeals to you!
