‘Discovery, purpose, innovation and impact’ embody the screenings presented at Transitions Film Festival 2016. The festival returns to Melbourne for the fifth time featuring stories from leading changemakers and how they approach major social and technological issues facing the world today. In addition to these engaging documentaries, most screenings are accompanied by speakers from the film’s production team or a related organisation to give further insight into each subject.
Transitions Film Festival is screening a total of 20 films, with topics ranging from the rise of crowdfunding to climate change in the Antarctic and the journey of an elderly dance crew who dream of performing at the World Hip Hop Championships. Other highlights include The Infinite Happiness, a film by Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine, who spent a month living in Bjarke Ingels‘s acclaimed ‘8 House‘, one of the most fascinating and significant buildings of the last decade.
We have one double pass to giveaway to The Infinite Happiness (see below for trailer), screening at Cinema Nova, Tuesday March 1 at 6.30pm. Head to the Transitions Film Festival ‘Win’ Page and enter the code INFINITEASSEMB to go into the running to win.
Entries close February 23.
