Coburg resident Jessie Scott is launching The Coburg Plan, a book of photographs and essays documenting the changing landscape of the inner-Melbourne suburb. Scott, a video artist, writer and screen producer, started noticing the unique architecture of the area more than six years ago, while taking walks with her baby and her dog. The book features essasys, stories and text from members of the Assemble Papers family, including Eugenia Lim, Timmah Ball and Emma McRae. Each writer reflects on community, and how they are shaped by the built environment.
The launch is happening as part of Open House Melbourne, on Saturday 28 July at the Post Office Hotel, Coburg.
