How will technology transform the future?
Lucy McRae – body architect, designer and science-fiction artist, combines storytelling with speculative science through film and images in her exhibition ‘Body Architect’. Lucy’s work is provocative and grotesquely beautiful, inviting us to think about the power of imagination and speculation. Body Architect uses low-tech materials such as balloons, bath foam and safety pins to prompt high-tech conversations about the body, Lucy asks of science, ‘what if?’
Lucy is one of the youngest ever TED Fellows and listed by Fast Company as one of the ‘fifty people shaping the future’.
Body Architect is taking place from 30 August 2019 to 9 February 2020 at The Ian Potter Centre in Federation Square, Melbourne. Tickets are free!
