Contemporary American artist KAWS, aka Brian Donnelly, is one of the most resonant artists of his generation. Blurring the boundaries between fine and commercial art, KAWS’s work straddles the worlds of art, fashion and design, and reflects on themes of hope, humanity and connection in an increasingly turbulent world.

Companionship in the Age of Loneliness consists of 100 works, including iconic paintings re-appropriating pop-culture figures to his more recent large-scale abstract works, and an impressive collection of his celebrated sculptural figures. In an era of social media and increasing division across societies, KAWS’s work acknowledges universal feelings of isolation and loneliness. He reminds us we need one another, and that life should be lived as compassionately as possible to combat this ‘Age of Loneliness’.
