First Nations designers from around the world will converge on the Melbourne School of Design this July, for the inaugural Indigenous Design symposium. Convened by Jefa Greenaway, Go Back to Where You Came From: Indigenous Design – Past | Present | Future will explore the role of Indigenous design in urban life, as well as showcase a range of talented First Nations designers from around the world, including Australia, South Africa, New Zealand.
The final day of the symposium coincides with the opening of Blak Design Matters, the first Australian survey of Indigenous Design, at the Koorie Heritage Trust at Federation Square, which will be open until 30 September.
