Are you the next editor of Assemble Papers?

When: 19 December 2019 - 31 January 2020
Where: 370 Swan St, Richmond, Melbourne, VIC 3121
More info: position description

After two incredible years as editor-in-chief at Assemble Papers and a much-loved member of the Assemble team, Jana Perković has decided to move on to an exciting new role with SPACE 10 – a research and design lab supported by IKEA. Jana will be deeply missed, but it’s a decision we fully support and we share her excitement in embarking on the next chapter in her career.

With this change, an opportunity presents itself for the next editor of Assemble Papers, who will be handed the baton from Jana with optimism, encouragement and a mandate to connect the dots on small footprint living in cities in their own way – taking the “culture of living closer together” to new frontiers.

The editor of Assemble Papers must have the qualities that are instilled and recognised in the publication – intelligence, tenacity, creativity, curiosity, humour, optimism and leadership – as well the ability to interpret and communicate the diverse range of content we cover: design, architecture, art, urbanism, the environment and financial affairs. A firm belief in the ethos of the publication and the mission of Assemble is essential. With multiple projects underway, including the first to be delivered via the Assemble Model, Assemble is entering an exciting phase of growth and we look forward to taking the new editor on the journey with us.
