On Thursday 20 June, the iconic Nicholas Building in Swanston St, Melbourne, will be open to the public.
A Night at the Nicholas: Block Party Edition is the next instalment in a series of events that foster public engagement in the presence and future of this incredible vertical precinct.
Whether you’d like to purchase an artwork or a one-off piece of jewellery directly from the maker, encounter a secret dance party, have your tarot read, immerse yourself in a room of projections or simply wander the corridors with cocktail in hand.
From our beautifully preserved art deco arcade to the 9th floor, there will be a chance to encounter the pandemonium of jewellers, milliners, artists, designers, architects, galleries, and unique boutiques that all form part of our building’s magic.
The Nicholas Building is a significant contributor to the cultural tourism economy and a pillar of Melbourne’s creative community — elevating the life of people who live and work in our city and enticing local, interstate and international visitors to experience the unique qualities of inner-city Melbourne.
